Permitting
The Municipality of Skagway has a number of permit applications. If you are unsure which application form you need, please contact Permitting Official Stacy Fairbanks at 907-983-3906 or the Borough Offices at 907-983-2297. Permit applications can be found under the Forms link under "Government."
Stacy's office hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.; appointments are appreciated.
BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATION TIMELINE: Submit complete site plans with accurate dimensions as well as a full explanation of the scope of your project. Please allow seven (7) business days for review of all building permits. You can expect correspondence from the Permitting Official following review of your application. Some projects may require other permits, the permitting official will let you know of other permitting requirements. Permitting within the Historic District may also require review by the Historic District Commission so please start your planning process early.
