Skagway Independence Day Celebration
Celebrate U.S. Independence Day in Skagway!
Broadway will be closed between 2nd & 5th Avenues from 7 am to 5 pm for street games and food booths that will be set up after the parade.

2024 Skagway Independence Day Celebration includes:
JUNE 28-30
INTERNATIONAL CO-ED SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT – 7 Pastures. Starts Friday around 6:00 pm with Round Robin play, then tournament seeding. Concessions available. (Skagway Softball Association)
JULY 4
9:30 AM KIDDIE PARADE – NO NEED TO SIGN UP IN ADVANCE. Just meet on 2nd by 9:15 to get your child on the list and line up. This ‘mini’ parade starts at 2nd Ave, goes north on Broadway to 5th Ave.

10:00 AM MAIN PARADE - PLEASE KEEP STREET CLEAR – NO NEED TO SIGN UP IN ADVANCE. Just meet at the ferry terminal parking lot by 9:45am. Floats will travel north to 7th Ave, turn right towards City Hall, turn left on 9th Ave and travel back down Broadway to give everyone a second look!

11:00 AM - 5 PM - Broadway will be closed between 2nd & 5th Avenues from 7 am to 5 pm for street games and food booths that will be set up after the parade. Games traditionally include a slow bike race, tug-of-war, egg toss, Victorian kids games, spike driving contest, cornhole tournaments and more crazy fun!
